We extract data from utility invoices for several utility companies directly. These documents can contain over 500 fields which require complex validations and calculations inline with the process to ensure the accuracy of the data printed on these forms.

DocWorks© provides reporting on process activities and direct access to information that can be used to in the business process. This solution was designed to process invoices and audit the data on them. The DocWorks® solution scrapes off the invoice price, meter lines, and other relevant data automating the data entry and filing process completely.
AP and Utility Invoices
We extract data from AP and Utility Invoices so the data can be matched to PO information that is in their purchasing system. DocWorks© can extract data from any invoice, paper or electronic.
As invoices are received, they are scanned into the DocWorks© process. The invoices are read, compared to the matching PO, and if the price doesn't match within your tolerance they will be slotted to an exception queue for review. The documents that are a good match flow through and only the exceptions end up in this queue.
Once an exception is identified, web based DocWorks© allows the user to route the invoice back to the vendor for resolution of billing issues and within the company if the error was internal. This solution was designed to adapt to any business process and there are several annotation tools which are available throughout the process which allow the user to efficiently complete their work with an auditable trail that can be traced back to the point of origin.
